Alfred Coffee. (Los Angeles) My new favorite, wish it was closer! But it is indeed the best coffee I have ever tried so far. The environment is super “hipster” if you know what I mean and the workers are very nice. They brew stumptown coffee and have a thing for mustaches (they have cute free mustache stickers you can take and mustaches on their cups). They also have fun, quirky designs on the cup holders. Who’s Alfred? I wanna meet Alfred.
My mom flew out to Korea about one month ago. My dad flew out to Korea yesterday. They’ll both be back in three weeks. And dude, I have never felt such emptiness before. You really don’t know what you have and how much a person means to you until they’re gone. Yeah, my mom nags a lot, but her absence is so incredible, I rather listen to all her nagging. I told her this recently while we were talking through kakaotalk (thank God for technology that makes free international calls possible) and she just hella laughed (cuz she loves it in Korea and her and my dad are living it up and basically don’t want to come back)
But it’s indeed bittersweet.
Sweet. I wanted them to go and relax and take a break from the life they chose to live here in America solely to raise and support us, and to have fun with their family and friends. But damn, am I regretting my decision to support this trip or what?
Bitter. I am basically mom. I clean. I cook. I pay bills. I work full time. I’m tired. I take care of my older brother and younger sister, who both are fully capable of taking care of themselves. I’m stressed thinking about everything I have to do for the next three weeks. But I want to be a baby. I want to be taken care of by my parents. I want them back. so badly! Honestly, I’m just counting down the days.
Pray for the Kim siblings. That we don’t starve. That we’re not late to school or work. That our house won’t burn down from the lack of culinary skills. Ha ha ha…
i <3 rings. rings rings, you can never have too many!
me gusta Imagine Dragons. I wanna go concerttttttt
Javatini (Irvine). A small hole-in-the-wall cafe near my office. It smells hella bomb in there because they roast their own beans! Right in the small store! It has a super cozy environment and feels like home; although, it is a tad bit small. I’m excited to go down their list of drinks and specialties during my lunch breaks.
Day at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market. Definitely a must go if you’ve never been! Plan for an all day trip because its really big. Take some shades as well. ✌
just go with the flow.
just had a delightful conversation with my beloved girls. it was one of the best moments since i’ve been at home. i didn’t realize how much i missed them and how much i longed for them to be around. i love home and my family don’t get me wrong; it’s been more than awesome. but there’s a few specific individuals i’d love to have around here with me too.
//edit// i hear the rain! cheers to fall and chilly weather! now, to sleep and wake up in six hours for work! damnit.
Day at the flea market. Darn those flats.
Do not bother the man at work.
Went on a one day trip down south across the border to Tijuana, Mexico. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Chao
Coffee Bar (San Fran). Andrew suggested we stop by here to kill time as we waited for him to finish work. It has a really nice atmosphere, although located in a tad bit shady area. But then again, SF as a whole…
Just had an ice coffee because I had coffee earlier in the day but it was good after sweetened. It was a nice place to just talk with Ryan as we waited for Andrew. I like! Oh and they had a cool variety of tea, coffee and food. El fin.
